Overview:

The Director of Player Development (DPD) is first and foremost, a member of the Golf Professional Staff and as such is responsible to support the daily golf operations, promote an exceptional “golf experience” for all players and to deliver the quality of service and programs desired to meet the expectations of the membership and to achieve the objectives of management.   A primary focus of the DPD is to identify, promote and expand opportunities for member and golfer engagement on behalf of the entire Professional Staff. 

 Additionally, as the lead instructor the DPD is the ‘face’ of our golf learning programs and is charged with concept development, planning, scheduling, organization, promotion and implementation of all Player Development and Golf Instruction Programs at the club.

 The DPD is responsible for the quality, content, and relevance of instruction by members of the Professional Staff are appropriate to meet or exceed program goals. 

 As the Eighteen Hole Women’s Golf Organization will be integral in the growth of the game at ANCC and will have a significant impact on teaching base revenue of the DPD, the position will include the staff liaison position with this group and will include conduct of the small number of tournament events that they hold annually.

 Goals of the Position are member satisfaction, fiscal responsibility, and operations management.

 Qualifications

  • 3 years’ experience teaching golf lessons with experience coaching different levels of golfers.
  • 2-3 previous sales experience required.
  • LPGA or PGA Membership; Class A Certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Management of an independent golf lesson program
  • Proven track record of successful instruction
  • Exceptional coaching ability
  • Social and interpersonal skills required to interact with all Topgolf Guests
  • Familiarity with swing analysis technology and launch monitor technology
  • Ability to develop positive and ongoing relationships with members.
  • Excellent communication, time management and organization skills
  • Ability to work on a team.
  • Energy and enthusiasm.
  • A high level of self-awareness, receptivity to change and integrity.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time.
  • Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

 Compensation

 The compensation range is 80 k to 130 k subject to state and federal tax withholding

 This is a Regular Full Time (RFT) position with benefits (medical, dental, life insurance, retirement, 401(k), and annual/sick leave).  Benefits subject to club plan relative to time on the job.
