Broken Sound Club is a 36-hole private country club in Boca Raton, Florida. The Club Course is an 18-Hole Championship golf course positioned on the main property of Broken Sound, along with the Main Clubhouse, aquatic, tennis, pickleball, spa and tennis facilities.  Located in the heart of Boca Raton, The Club Course is one of the many world-class amenities provided to the members of Broken Sound.  The Club Course completed a golf course renovation in 2017, and recently finished up a multi-million dollar clubhouse renovation.  As part of the Professional Staff, you are responsible for creating the environment that makes The Club Course at Broken Sound EXCEPTIONAL.

As an Assistant Golf Professional, you will report to the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional while supporting the day-to-day operations alongside a welcoming, positive, and passionate golf department. 

Broken Sound is looking for the following key qualities as the Player Development Assistant Professional:

  • Technology proficient with Jonas, Foretees, Golf Genius, GHIN, Flightscope or Trackman, Microsoft Office and Cap Patrol Handicap programs

Additional desirable qualities include: enthusiastic, reliable, self-motivated, detail oriented, hardworking, trustworthy and a TEAM player.

Experience Required

Minimum 2 years as an LPGA/PGA Assistant or Level 1 PGA Associate.

Strong Player Development skills are beneficial.

Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required.

Experience at a private facility preferred, but not required.

Essential Responsibilities

As the Player Development Assistant Professional, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Head up the BSC Golf Performance Center
  • Assist in Managing League & Club Events.
  • Create, conduct, and manage PGA Junior League and Operation36.
  • Work closely with Youth Director on Junior Camps.
  • Conduct private and group lessons/clinics.
  • Assist in running Fitting/Demo Day events.
  • Teaching Studio duties
  • Assist in daily golf operations including, but not limited to, Retail Shop coverage, Outside services, Ranger/Starter duties, Inventory management.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with all Broken Sound staff regarding all aspects of the golf operation.
  • Be informed on and promote all club activities and services.
  • Provide a welcoming environment and excellent customer service to all members and guests.
  • Uphold the Policies and Procedures of the golf department.
  • Collaborate with the Retail Manager regarding merchandising, purchasing, buying plans, receiving, tagging, and displaying new merchandise collections, and having an understanding of the products in the shop.
  • Utilize Foretees to manage tee times and event participants.
  • Planning, promotion, and execution of tournaments, including course set-up, and accurately managing a tournament budget.
  • Club fitting, and Club Repair (or the opportunity to learn if you are not experienced).
  • Flexibility and variety throughout the day.
