Description:

The Outside Service Attendant assist our guests in having an exceptional experience at Salish Cliffs Golf Club at Little Creek Casino Resort. This position is responsible for the bag drop, cart return, golf cart maintenance, practice facility maintenance, tournament operations, starting and marshaling.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Warmly welcome guests to the facility and orient them to the facility
  • Assist guests with loading their golf bag(s) onto assigned golf cart
  • Confirm guest's tee time and record their arrival utilizing daily tee sheet
  • Provide direction to restrooms, golf shop, restaurant, practice facility, golf cart location and golf course starter
  • Provide information on daily practice facility conditions and rules
  • Communicate any specific guest needs with fellow team members
  • Engage with guest(s) inquiring about their experience on the course
  • Clean guest's golf clubs
  • Ensure guests collect and leave with all of their belongings
  • Provide suggestion of food or beverage at Salish Cliffs Grille or Resort
  • Assist in transporting guest's golf bag to bag drop and back into their vehicle
  • Ensure golf carts are prepared for guest use.
  • Properly clean and stock cart with guest supplies
  • Confirm GPS units are on, updated and function properly
  • Verify golf cart is charged, drives and functions properly
  • Stage golf carts so they are easily identified and accessible
  • Perform required maintenance to ensure cart function and longevity
  • Routinely detail carts to maintain new look
  • Provide practice balls that are clean and of good quality
  • Maintain hitting areas to ensure premium hitting surfaces
  • Setup practice facility utilizing desired appearance (pyramids, tents, etc.).
  • Assist sponsor and/or guests with getting signage, collateral, and personnel to and from holes.
  • Assist guests with loading their golf bags and facility directions.
  • Escort guests to on course starting hole(s).
  • Receive and assist golfers upon completion of their round of golf.
  • Maintain the tee sheet including staying on time whenever possible
  • Record actual starting times
  • Record golf cart numbers for each group
  • Ensure all golfers have been properly checked in at the golf shop
  • Introduce Singles, Twosomes, and Threesomes that are being paired up together
  • Assist golfers with the Rules of Daily Play including: course conditions; cart restrictions, if any; pace of play expectations; GPS utilization, if necessary (first time guests); dress code.
  • Monitor turn times and mid-course guest needs.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Assist in maintaining overall appearance of facility
  • Attend all mandatory meetings and training.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience and/or desire to learn about the golf industry
  • Prior golf operations experience preferred
  • OR three months related experience and/or training
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Squaxin Island Gaming Commission.
  • Requires a valid Washington State Driver License and must be insurable on the Tribe's insurance.

 

Language Skills:

  • Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to communicate to Team Members and guests.

Other:

  • Possess a basic understanding of golf etiquette and terminology.
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work early mornings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must maintain a clean, orderly appearance of both personal hygiene and uniform.
