Exciting opportunity to build an Intercollegiate Women's Golf program within a collegiate setting on the Treasure Coast of Florida. The position of Development Officer/Women's Golf Athletic Dept. will provide strategic direction in the development and implementation of a fundraising program for Intercollegiate Athletics as well as proactively identify new donor relationships and partnerships to generate philanthropic support.
Additionally, the Development Officer will provide Head Coaching and enlistment of new students to the program and/or guidance of.
Experience Required
- 10-20 years of experience within the Golf industry
- Philanthropic/Fundraising experience, with the ability to build strong relationships and donor base
- Proven ability to guide athletic programs in a new and profitable direction
- Bachelor's Degree, Master's Preferred
- Proven ability to engage in philanthropic opportunities
- Minimum 2 years of proven collegiate coaching experience, or certified PGA credentials as a teaching professional (highly desired)
- Familiarity with NJCAA governing rules preferred
- Familiar with Razor's Edge or similar software, preferred
- Professional sales background preferred
- First Aid, CPR, or AED Certified or pass within 30 days
- Strong communication skills, oral and written
Essential Responsibilities
- Plan, implement and evaluate Philanthropic/Fundraising Campaigns
- Work according to the goals of the Foundation and Athletic Dept.
- Demonstrate professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits
- Manage and implement the design, development, and production of fundraising materials
- Represents and promotes the Foundation and Institute through community involvement
- Plans special events
- Meets with potential donors and asks for donations
- Supervises personnel
