Assistant Golf Professional

The position will assist with the management of daily golf operations including but not limited to; managing and tracking play, protection and controlling assets, assisting with outside services, assisting with merchandising, managing tournaments and events, teaching lessons, and providing other professional services to ensure an exceptional golf experience.                                         



Work inside the golf Pro Shop 50% of the time and outdoors on the driving range,

managing tournaments, teaching golf and servicing members and guests 50% of the time. 




  • Provide Boar’s Head Resort renowned service to all golf members and guests on a daily basis
  • Supervise, schedule and train Outside Service staff as directed.
  • Assist with the total operation of the practice facilities and supervise the daily operations
  • Manage the maintenance of the cart fleet and the cleanliness of the bag drop & starter area
  • Supervise and manage the total golf operations in an efficient manner in the absence of the Head or Associate Head Golf Professionals
  • Provide support and resources for all golf operations staff
  • Assist with all opening and closing procedures.
  • Assist in planning and budgeting for the golf operation.
  • Assist with all group outings and advanced group bookings/tournaments.
  • Required knowledge of the following: current golf course conditions, playability of the golf course, course management advice, and other golf course related subjects.
  • Maintain all policies and procedures for Outside Service department.  
  • Control and manage play; ensure guest check-in and fee collection in coordination with the starter.
  • Provide golf instruction and clinics that are consistent with instructional methods, policies and procedures of the Boar’s Head Golf Academy.
  • Assist in the purchasing, receipt, display, inventory, control, promotion and sales of merchandise. 
  • Be informed on, and promote all club activities and services.
  • Assist in the management of the handicap program.
  • Assist in managing tournaments and outings including weekly and special events.
  • Complete all golf operations job functions including duties of Pro Shop Attendant & Outside Service Representative
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times.
  • Actively complete the requirements of or towards PGA / LPGA membership and maintain an active classification.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
