About Napa Golf Course at Kennedy Park:
Napa Golf Course at Kennedy Park is an 18-hole full service championship daily fee golf course
with practice facilities consisting of an 8,500 square foot putting green, modest chipping green,
and 22 individual stall driving range outfitted with synthetic mats. The clubhouse is equipped
with a full complement of merchandise from golf balls to clubs. Napa GC offers golf lessons from
our PGA Class A Professionals on staff, with year round adult and youth lesson programs for
players of all skill levels. With four sets of tees to accommodate golfers of any skill level, our golf
course is also user friendly, fun, and provides affordable access to all.
Napa Parks and Recreation partners with the Napa Golf Course at Kennedy Park to provide the
community with a variety of exciting classes throughout the year taught by experienced PGA
coaches.

This job opportunity is perfect for someone looking to establish and grow a sustainable book of
business and gain vital experience and confidence teaching golf with guidance from the Director
of Instruction.

Job Expectations:
Teach alongside Director of Instruction and independently as schedule allows;
Superb time management skills and awareness;
Good communicator;
Lesson notes/recaps sent to all private students;
Positive approach to teaching golf and sharing your passion for golf with people;
Excellent Schedule management required (proactively manage your availability, proactively
communicate with lesson inquiries, always be ready ahead of time for student arrivals);
Treat all students with equal respect and importance;
Be a role model for professionalism and proper etiquette both on and off the course;
Enjoys working with junior golfers;
Equipment fittings pending skill set and time management.

Credentials:
PGA / LPGA Membership preferred (Non-Member Associates are invited to apply)

Past Work Experience:
Past private instructional experience required;
Past group instructional experience preferred;
Past equipment fitting experience preferred;

Reporting Hierarchy:
Follow guidance from the Director of Instruction to execute golf learning programs for the Napa
community in an organized and effective manner. This position reports to the Director of
Instruction.

● Perfect Community Facility To Teach Golf To Beginners and Intermediate Players

Technology Summary:
PGA Booking and/or Smarter Lessons used to manage your lesson bookings;
Provide your own recording device as needed;
Club website will list your bio;
Club website will allow the public to book lessons on your calendar;
Club will market instructional programs as approved by the Director of Instruction.

Scheduling:
Independent with approval from the Director of Instruction.

Meals:
50% off club restaurant meals

Golf Privileges:
As the tee sheet permits.
Association Dues:
Not covered by Napa GC
Travel Costs (for interview and for job responsibilities):
Not covered by Napa GC
Vendor Staffing:
To be reviewed after six months, pending a great job performance and willingness to market and
conduct equipment fittings.
Employment Status:
At-Will Employee
Hourly Wage:
$15/hour
Lesson Rates to be approved by the Director of Instruction; Commensurate with past work
experiences.
Facility Rent:
15% Lesson revenues
Net Pay Before Taxes:
85% Lesson revenues less hourly earnings
Pay Periods:
Bi-Weekly, pay days on Fridays; payroll period lesson summaries due by Sunday evenings.
