Under supervision from the Director of Golf, operates the day to day golf shop procedures. Responsible for greeting and registering all players and organizing the daily tee sheets and play reports. Assists in promoting golfing activities, organizing daily play, and tournaments.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Coordinates the golf operation with outside golf staff and other departments
• Knowledge and understanding of typical golf course procedures.
• Fully knowledgeable of all opening and closeout procedures of the Golf Pro Shop.
• Familiar with all aspects of tournament set-up, including scorecards, golf car tags, proximities, staging area set-up and billing charges.
• Keep Golf Pro Shop counter and club repair area neat, clean and organized at all times.
• Maintain complete knowledge of the handicapping system and all pertinent handicap information.
• Stays up-dated and current on all upcoming club events.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe working environment, with emphasis on promoting employee health and safety.
• Plan, organize, and conduct golf instruction

• Responsible to screen applicants for open golf operation positions
• Responsible to prepare golf shop schedule
• Responsible to coordinate outside golf operations schedule with the Outside Golf Services Manager and Player Assistant Manager
• Proper communication to staff for upcoming events
• Providing training to staff members such as procedure for the daily operations, opening and closing, Chelsea tea system, Jonas point of Sale
• Registration for golfers and handling registration for starting times.

• Assists Golf Professional in instructing and with merchandising, on-course, golf car and personnel management responsibilities.
• Implements Golf Pro Shop inventory control system in conjunction with the Golf Shop Merchandiser.
• Tracks and controls inventory for club repair and grip concession.
• Performs club repair in an accurate and timely manner including billing, and communication with members regarding completion of work.
• Assists members by providing and interpreting golf policies, rules and regulations.
• Provides Golf Instruction.
• Maintains handicap records.
• Operates Pro Shop in absence of the Director of Golf.
• Oversees Pro Shop inventory and periodically conducts physical counts of Golf Shop supplies, including scorecards, tees, matches, pencils, ball marks, golf car tags.
• Update all charges and credits for club repair work.
• Assumes Golf Professional’s duties in his or her absence.
• Coordinates the daily opening and closing of golf operations.
• Oversees and trains Outside Service Manager, and Player Service Manager
• Administers the tournament program and special events.
• Ensures all tournament winners are properly entered into the credit book with correct dates and description of event.
• Makes copies of tournament results and enters into the correct files.
• Assists in all daily scheduling of lessons for all teaching assistants.
