Opportunity: CourseCo, a leading Northern California Golf Management Company seeks an Assistant Golf Professional for The Golf Club at Rio Vista in Rio Vista, CA. The Golf Club at Rio Vista is a true golf treasure found in the heart of Northern California near the Sacramento River Delta in Solano County.   A Ted Robinson, Sr. design, the course originally opened for play inside the Trilogy at Rio Vista Community in 1996.  With four sets of tees to choose from ranging from 5,300 to 6,800 yards, golfers of all skill levels feel comfortable playing the challenging layout with its shot-makers risks and rewards.  The Club welcomes golfers from the Bay Area and beyond with an ideal location midway between San Francisco and Sacramento. 

 POSITION PROFILE:

The Assistant Golf Professional assists the General Manager/Head Professional in managing all aspects of the daily operations at The Golf Club at Rio Vista.  This includes the hiring, training and managing of service staff including outside services and golf shop.  Success in this role will be measured by providing excellent service to the members and guests while helping to grow membership and program activity. 

The Assistant Golf Professional must have excellent interpersonal skills, as he/she will interact with the members and guests on a daily basis as well as manage a limited number of outside events including golf tournaments and banquet hall events.

QUALIFICATIONS: PGA or LPGA Class A or apprentice is preferred, but not required.  One to 5 years’ experience as an Assistant Golf Professional or Golf Shop Assistant preferred.

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS: Total base wages will be $17.00-$20.00 per hour. Plus, 80% of lesson income (est. $5,000-$10,000).  Expected total compensation can be $42,500-$51,500 with base pay plus potential lesson income combined.
