Job Description:

This part-time appointment requires a commitment to the NCAA Division III philosophy. The Dean College Athletics Department is a Provisional Division III member of the NCAA and competes as a member of the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) and Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC), and effective Fall 2020, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC). This position is responsible for all aspects of running a competitive golf program.

Job Duties:

  • Identifying and recruiting successful student-athletes;
  • Monitoring student-athletes' academic progress and golf skill development during practices, matches, and tournaments;
  • Coach, supervise, mentor and develop student-athletes;
  • Prepare team budgets, manage finances, plan season schedules and coordinate travel arrangements;
  • Establish teach rules and protocols consistent with college standards and the game of Golf;
  • Lead continuous program and student-athlete development efforts, while supporting academic excellence and progress;
  • Participates in college, departmental staff, conference and coach meetings;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. A bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline required, master's degree preferred; 
  2. Minimum of two years of collegiate coaching experience, teaching or professional playing is preferred;
  3. Prior NCAA Division III Collegiate Golf experience (as a student-athlete) preferred;
  4. First Aid, CPR, AED certification or willingness to obtain preferred;
  5. Valid Driver's License;
  6. Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
