The Assistant Golf Professional/Ladies Golf Coordinator will assist the Director of Golf Operations, the Head Golf Professional, the Director of Instruction, and the Golf Shop Manager in overseeing the performance of all golf operations including the tracking of play, protecting and controlling  assets, assisting in merchandising functions, managing tournaments, teaching lessons and providing professional services. The position will promote an exceptional golf experience and provide excellent services and programs for all members and their guests. This position will play a major role in the organization, management and promotion of the Prestonwood Country Club  Ladies Golf programs and Association.

Experience Required

• Current PGA of America or LPGA membership in good standing in an active classification or is actively pursuing PGA or LPGA membership in an accredited golf management program
• Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations 
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experienced in written and oral business communications
• Proficient using Microsoft Operating Systems and Office Suite

Essential Responsibilities

• Knowledge and understanding of golf course procedures
• Familiar with all aspects of tournament set-up
• Keeps Golf Pro Shop counter and club repair area neat, clean and organized at all times
• Creates, implements, and manages innovative programs that meet the needs of female golfers

• Stays up to date on all upcoming club events
• Maintains playing ability and works to remain competent in all areas of the game
• Self-motivated with desire to promote and market
• Service and customer-focused attitude
• Conducts oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times
• Perform golf instruction, golf clinics, golf schools, and golfer development programs for all of the members
• Maintains and promotes a positive professional image within the community
• Assists with golfer check-in; control and manage play; manages golf shop procedures 
• Managing ladies tournament operations including weekly events and league play
• Assists with men’s, women’s, and junior golf events and programs
• Provides club repair services to members and their guests
• Helps to maintain the Club’s USGA Handicap System
• Assists in the management of inventory control of hard goods, soft goods, and special orders including: ordering procedures, receiving procedures, pricing procedures, display, and sales
• Attends conferences, workshops, meetings, and trade shows, as required

Anticipated Compensation

$28,000-$32,000 Salary
$12,000-$25,000 Teaching & Club Repair Income
