Aronimink Golf Club is a member owned private facility in the greater Philadelphia area.  Aronimink has been host to several championships including; the 1962 PGA Championship, 1977 US Amateur, 1997 US Junior Amateur, 2003 Sr. PGA Championship, 2010 & 2011 AT&T National and the 2018 BMW Championship.  In addition Aronimink will host the 2020 KPMG Women's PGA Championship and the 2026 PGA Championship.  

Position Concept: The Assistant Golf Professional will work within the stated guidelines of the facility to aid in the planning, organizing, budgeting, promoting, conducting, scheduling, and developing all golf programs and operations at Aronimink Golf Club. 

The position requires an outstanding golf professional who possesses good communication skills and high career aspirations. The position will be involved in team oriented atmosphere and will be working in the following capacities; golf instruction, tournament operations, pro-shop operations and a heavy involvement junior golf operations.  The candidate should have the passion required to become a successful golf professional or teaching professional.

Specific Responsibilities to Include But Not Limited to:

• Complete the requirements of PGA membership or LPGA membership and/or maintain an active classification in either or both.
• Provide excellent customer services, professional advice and assistance to all patrons.
• Provide golf instruction and clinics that are consistent with instructional methods, policies and procedures of the Aronimink Professional Staff.  Create, develop and manage programs that will attract and maintain new golfers.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image while at Aronimink and also when off the premises. 
• Be informed on, and promote all club activities and services.
• Stay up to date on latest club technology, fitting equipment and teaching methods/technologies.
• Assist in planning and budgeting for instructional programs.
• Assist in managing tournaments and outings if necessary.
• Play golf with all different segments of members from Aronimink, to include Men, Women, Seniors & Juniors.
• Represent Aronimink Golf Club in community service and Sectional/National tournaments to enhance the Golf Staff’s image for Aronimink Golf Club.
• Seek and attend continuing educational opportunities in a variety of industry topics.
• Maintain extensive contact with supervisors and club management to ensure teamwork and seamless integration of all operations throughout the club.

The job is able to be adjusted based on experience level.  In addition the job could be seasonal or year round based on the individual.
