2025 Driving Range Assistant Internship
Apple Mountain Golf Club | Belvidere NJ 07823 USA | Part Time, Contract, Intern, Seasonal | Posted: 08/28/2025
Job Descriptiontop
Apple Mountain Golf & Country Club opened its first nine holes on Labor Day 1973, set atop what was once an expansive apple and peach orchard; the estate also featured ski slopes with a rope tow lift, combining year-round recreation ambitions from the outset. Designed by the Kiszonak’s family, the course added its second nine in 1977, completing the full 18-hole layout. Nestled between Belvidere and Oxford in scenic Warren County, the course offered sweeping views of the Delaware Water Gap and surrounding ridgelines, creating a memorable setting for golf. Course Features & Playing Experience Apple Mountain boasted a distinctive hillside design with dramatic elevation changes, requiring precision in every shot—particularly on uphill approach shots and undulating greens. Unusually, the course contains water hazards featured on 11 of the 18 holes, adding strategic complexity for the players. The signature 17th hole, a dramatic downhill par-6 built on a former ski slope, was hailed by New Jersey Monthly as one of the state’s “most perfect holes,” thanks to its thrilling dogleg design and demanding accuracy to avoid trees along the right. The front nine played more open, while the back nine introduced tighter landing zones, uphill and downhill lies, and an especially challenging closing stretch—most notably the 18th, where golfers face a decision to go for the green or lay up across an 80-foot pond.
