Head Golf Professional/Manager Katke Golf Course– Ferris State University. The Head Golf Professional/Golf Course Manager oversees all aspects of golf operations, including merchandising, tournaments, events, and facility management, while supporting the Professional Golf Management (PGM) program's accreditation and educational goals. This role involves supervising staff, mentoring students, managing budgets, enforcing policies, and fostering relationships with the university, alumni, local businesses, and the golf industry. Key responsibilities include event coordination, program innovation, and delivering inclusive, high-quality service to diverse groups. Reporting to the Executive Director of Auxiliary Services, the manager ensures operational excellence, compliance with regulations, and continuous improvement through professional development, while working extended hours during the golf season to meet operational demands. Required: Bachelor’s degree in Professional Golf Management, Business, Marketing, Accounting, or related field. Class “A” PGA member in good standing. Five years of recent, demonstrated experience as a Golf Professional and/or Director of Golf. Experience should include progressive/increased levels of responsibility and authority, demonstrated experience in the development of golf activities, managing staff and in delivering golf instruction to all age groups.
