Junior Leader / Staff Instructor, ExperienceGolf® at CommonGround Golf Course

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to be a team member with ExperienceGolf at CommonGround Golf Course, Aurora, CO, home of the Colorado Golf Association (CGA).  Opportunity to learn and work with Top 50 LPGA Teachers at a Tom Doak designed golf course with private practice areas. 

The ideal candidate will have a passion for golf, strong communication skills, and the ability to inspire and instruct young players in a group setting.  In addition to private instruction for adults and juniors.  This position is responsible for creating a fun, safe and educational environment, where juniors can develop their golf skills and foster a love for the game.

Duties (to include but not limited to)

• Instruction / Coaching:
  • Private and Semi-Private Lessons
  • Operation36 Junior Programs – Deliver the complete pathway of programming throughout the season
  • Outreach Programs for the CGA – Big Brothers, Special Olympics, Golf in Schools, LPGA Girls Golf – working closely with the CGA
  • PGA Junior League
  • PGA Hope
  • Adult Programs – Welcome2Golf, Adult Op36 and Skill Specific Clinics
  • Corporate Events
  • Daily Set-up and Clean-up of Instruction areas
  • Returning phone and email inquiries
  • Develop Promotional Material
  • Social Media updates
  • Use of technology and teaching aids
  • Equipment upkeep and organization
  • Attend team meetings
  • Attend minimum of one education seminar per year
  • Majority of work at CommonGround is April 1^st – Oct 31^st with off season indoor availability at our indoor location Clubhouse Work & Golf

This is a seasonal position, with hours dependent on programming needs. Compensation is competitive with experience and certifications: (includes all range fees, carts, practice facilities and balls)

Qualifications:

• Minimum LPGA/PGA Apprentice / Class B or equivalent
• Ability to motivate and connect with children of varying ages and skill levels
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for children and parents
• Preferred minimum of one year experience teaching
• Trackman or FlightScope, CoachNow proficiency
