Assistant LPGA Golf Professional

The University Park Country Club consistently ranks among the top ten golf courses in the Sarasota/Manatee area and is recognized with annual awards for its condition and playability. There are over 86,000 rounds of golf played annually with a particular focus on pace of play and enjoyment of the round. We focus on providing excellent service, a superior golf course, and a 5-star experience for our many members and guests.

The University Park Country Club is semi-private Club, which includes a prestigious 27- hole golf facility that  opened in 1991. The golf course was designed by Ron Garl and includes a mixture of narrow tree lined fairways, long open par 4's with great memorable par 3's, along with the combination of nines. It is said that the golfer never plays the same shot twice on UPCC’s golf course.

The golf course is located at the center of our award-winning gated community of 1200 homes. There is a vibrant, active membership that plays often and participates regularly in weekly Men's and Women's Golf Associations, Couples and 9 Hole Nine, Dine events, as well as, holiday and special tournament events.

Experience Required:

We are seeking a LPGA Member with experience at a Private or Semi-Private facility.  Experience at a multi-course facility would be a bonus. Experience with tee times systems is necessary; Chelsea system experience preferred.  We seek a candidate with Club Systems POS and merchandising experience.  We desired someone who has Golf Genius Tournament software and operations experience, along with  V1 Pro, Trackman and Junior Golf experience.

Essential Position Responsibilities:

• Delivers and promotes prompt, courteous and outgoing friendly service to all members, guests and fellow employees.
• Assists Head Golf Professional in instructing, merchandising, on course, cart and personnel management responsibilities.
• Assists members by providing and interpreting policies, rules and regulations.
• Conducts golf clinics (Adults & Juniors) that are approved by the Head Golf Professional.
• Maintains handicaps records and reports.
• Operates golf shop in a professional and effective manner in the absence of Head Golf Professional.
• Promotes customer service to members, guests and employees.
• Performs daily cash reconciliations.
• Maintains overall efficiency of retail operation and inventory controls.
• Performs and helps manage most duties of golf operation. Performs other duties as assigned by the Head Golf Professional.  

Compensation:  Contingent upon work experience.
