About Northwood Club and Existing Staff:
Northwood Club is a premier country club established in 1946 and located in Dallas, Texas, best known for hosting the 1952 U.S. Open. The newly renovated Championship Golf Course was named #1 Best Golf Course Renovation in Avid Golfer Magazine and recognized as the Best Overall Country Club in DFW for 2021 and 2022. The club also has a Distinguished Clubs of the World Emerald Designation for outstanding member service.
We are a large operation. The club does approximately 30,000 rounds per year, and we stay very busy with innovative Junior Development Programs, Member Tournaments, and an Award Winning Golf Shop.

General Purpose: To assist the Director of Retail in providing a quality shopping experience at Northwood Club’s Golf Pro Shop. To promote golf programs and assists with shop inventory, sales and maintenance.
Essential Duties:
- Greet and assist members and guests as they enter the golf shop.
- Manage special orders and invoicing.
- Assist in buying for a single store location doing $1.6 million in retail sales, with room to grow.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels.
- Develop and grow corporate merchandise sales.
- Manage and promote use of e-commerce website.
- Ensure shop is ready for operation and remains in good order throughout the day. Cleanliness and organization of all displays.
- Have knowledge on club activities, policies, and hours. Understand club operations in order to assist members with questions.
- Assist the golf operations team manage the golf shop.
- Answer all phone calls in a courteous and professional manner, may include golf operation needs.
- Assist with managing traffic in a high paced environment.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
- Strong personal and customer service skills, excellent communication.
- Organization and strong attention to details and accuracy are critical.
- Familiar and able to create promotional content through social media.
- Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques.
- Computer skills to include excel, word, and outlook. Northstar preferred but not required.
