Located in Acworth, GA near Marietta and Kennesaw, Bentwater Golf Club is home to one of Northwest Atlanta’s best golf courses with almost 7.000 yards from the back tees. The course, a parkland-style Mike Dasher design that opened to rave reviews in 2000, is known for its striking views of Red Top Mountain as well as the ponds, creeks and wetlands that are a highlight of each round at Bentwater. To complement Bentwater’s golf experience, the Bentwater Grille provides a family friendly dining atmosphere throughout the week.

In May of 2021, the club transitioned to new ownership as well as a new management team who have committed to investing and improving the entire club experience. To enhance the member experience, recent improvements at Bentwater include:

• Removing 151 trees whose roots were causing ongoing cart path damage, and repairing cart paths on the entire golf course
• Renovating all golf course bunkers and the practice green bunker with new state of the art Capillary Bunker system with new tour-angle sand
• Upgrading the member’s practice experience on the practice range by leveling, regrading and resodding the landing area for better drainage and range ball management, as well as adding new targets, hitting stations and seating areas.
• Conducting capital repairs to the clubhouse, including the lobby, bathrooms, dining area, kitchen, golf pro shop and administrative area (to be completed in the 1^st quarter of 2022).

The Golf Shop Associate will assist the professional staff in the day-to-day management of the golf operations. Candidate should be highly motivated, energetic, personable, and eager to succeed in the golf business. The Golf Shop Associate will report directly to the Head Golf Professional and indirectly to the General Manager.

All duties should be performed with a commitment to the highest level of customer service and member satisfaction. Duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Possesses a passion for customer service and elevated guest experiences.
• Interact with customers and coworkers in person and on the phone in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
• Utilize EZLinks POS and tee sheet management software to book tee times, check-in players, manage the daily tee sheet, and process payment for green fees, cart fees, and merchandise.
• Adhere to cash handling and credit card processing policies and procedures.
• Keep shop stocked and merchandised. Assist customers with merchandise selection. Assist in inventory control and help conduct monthly inventory management.
• Open and close the facility while following all opening and closing procedures.
• Keeps all areas of the retail area clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Assist Head Golf Professional and Assistant Golf Professional with administration of golf outings and tournaments.
• Effectively communicates with Director of Outside operations and outside operations staff including cart personnel, practice facility personnel and golf starters.
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Golf Professional, Assistant Golf Professional or General Manager.

Experience required:

• Knowledge of and experience playing the game of golf

• Must be available to work Holidays, weekends, as well as closing shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• College graduate or pursuing degree
• Previous golf industry work experience in golf shop, outside services, or tournament operations.
• Previous professional work experience in customer service.
• High School Diploma
