Position Description

The SALES MANAGER for Golf Surprize is responsible to help drive trials at golf courses and grow brand awareness amongst golfers across assigned markets in the United States.  Golf Surprize is changing the way discounting is used in the industry. We firmly believe that golfers should win their discounts not just be handed discounts. We are coming into the market, having been selected as the “Official Instant Rewards Program” for the NGCOA.   As an area Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for building and managing a sales referral network, identifying opportunities at daily-fee courses, private clubs and driving ranges as well as building partnerships with our valued golf course clients.

Leveraging existing knowledge and relationships in the golf industry, this position will assist in the development of new and existing revenue opportunities and be responsible for formulating and executing the company’s business development strategies related to GOLF SURPRIZE programming.  Previous experience in business development is preferred and overcoming hurdles and objections in this new era of golf is a plus.

Responsibilities and priorities include, but are not limited to:

  • Execute the company’s strategic goals, and sales plan
  • Identify possible strategic clients to seed each market.
  • Monitor sales performance to ensure revenue goals and customer satisfaction are met.
  • Coordinate logistics to ensure initial demonstration of the platform and after-sales support are optimized.
  • Become knowledgeable of alternative products attributes and shortcomings
  • Manage growth in accordance with company cost plan and budget.
  • Attend weekly sales, support, and development meetings as required
  • Opportunity to build and then manage a territory sales force
  • Engage with PGA sections on a regular basis
  • Additional responsibilities and priorities, as assigned

Qualifications

  • Belief that this product is of value to all golfers
  • 3+ years of experience in the golf industry
  • PGA or LPGA member in Good Standing preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Able and willing to travel as needed
  • Computer/tech savvy with demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software systems
  • Personable and able to interact professionally with peers
  • Excellent phone sales skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to plan
  • Excellent communication skills, including oral and written communication
  • A good work ethic, doing what you say you are going to do
  • Ability to work from home and independently accomplish tasks
  • Based in southeastern part of the U.S. preferred

Compensation / Benefits

  • $45,000+ USD (based on experience plus generous bonus potential)
