Job Description:

Oldfield is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who strives to deliver exceptional customer service.  The chosen candidate must assist the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional with day-to-day golf operations. Areas of responsibility will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Provide excellent customer service to the club’s members and guests.
• Knowledgeable in tournament operations (Golf Genius software).
• Assist in the Training and Supervising of Outside Staff.
• Manage Jonas POS and Tee Time systems.
• Assist with merchandise management, receiving, displaying and controlling of inventory.
• Provide golf instruction in conjunction with the Director of Instruction.
• Promote all club activities.
• Must be proficient in excel, word, publisher.
• Desire to play golf with the membership.
• Knowledgeable in Club Repair.

Educational Requirements:

• College Degree Preferred

Qualifications:

• PGA Apprentice or PGA Class A Member in good standing.
• Minimum two years’ experience in an upscale private club golf operation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, conscientious, team oriented.
• A desire to be a part of a dynamic team environment.
• Experience with Jonas, Golf Genius, and web-site administration.
• Committed to PGA career development and advancement.

Compensation Information:

• $29,000 per year Salaried Employee
• The Assistant Golf Professional will receive 80% of lesson income and club repair commission.

• Beginning the first full pay period of your employment, vacation accrual commences at the rate of 3.08, or 80 hours for the first year.
• Through the second and third year of employment, vacation accrual rate remains at the 3.08, or 80 hours.
• On the anniversary of the third year of employment, in other words, the beginning of the fourth year of employment, vacation accrual commences at the rate of 4.62, or 120 hours for the fourth and following years.
• 40 hours of Wellness Time Off effective immediately.
• Floating Holidays are a paid day off for exempt employees given as a substitute for one of the five paid Oldfield Holidays (see Section 6.3 of the Employee Handbook).
• Use of facilities during off peak hours.

After 90 days of employment, you will be eligible to participate in the following:

Group Health Insurance:

• Offered through Blue Cross Blue Shield.  Oldfield covers $255.00 of the employee’s monthly premium.
• Group Dental and Vision plans available through Principal Life Insurance
• A $50,000.00 employee life insurance policy, the premium paid by Oldfield. 401K Plan
• Employer matches participant contributions equal to 25% of the participant’s elective deferral up to 6%.  For a maximum employer match of 1.5% of participants gross compensation.
• Participants vest at a rate of 20% per year after one year, reaching 100% vested after 5 years of service.
