Full Time Instructor

Reston National Golf Course

 PGA Dues: Covered

Hourly – $11.00 per hour + overtime (time and a half)

*hourly wages are paid while teaching as well as the commissions mentioned below

 Commissions:

• 40% of all adult lessons including private and group students
• Incentives & thresholds

1. An Increase of 10% commissions on all lessons after reaching $20,000 in lesson sales.  Going from 40% to 50% on all lesson sales for the remainder of the calendar year.

•  $150 per day summer camp commissions
• $40 commission + hourly pay for Junior Academy classes
• 50% commission on the gross revenue of any specialty clinic. 
• $1,500 commission for PGA Junior League Program

Requirements:

• Experienced golf instructor preferred
• Affiliated with either the LPGA or PGA programs preferred
• Highly organized with impeccable time management skills
• Friendly outgoing personality

Responsibilities:

• Promote instructional programs by seeking out marketing and promotional opportunities in the community on an ongoing basis
• Provide private and group golf instruction for both juniors and adults
• Provide summer camp instruction for an average of 3.5 days a week during the summer camp sessions
• Complete various tracking and record keeping
• Take part in facility and possibly regional meetings
• Attend continuing education opportunities
• Participate in ongoing sales and promotion of all on-site profit centers
• To participate an assist with running of special promotional events
• Manage a PGA Junior League team
• Must stay in communication with all students about learning opportunities or special Learning Center offerings
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 The Learning Center at Reston National Golf Course is an exceptionally busy golf school with a robust curriculum of programs.  Any teaching professional that is invited onto the teaching team must participate in all that we do here. 

With new ownership investing in the teaching operation, there may be potential to teach year round, moving the job from seasonal to a full time, year round position.
