Duck Woods Country Club, established in 1969, is a member-owned country club.  The club is nestled in the heart of the Outer Banks, the golf course twist and turns through the canals of Southern Shores.  The Club has a membership of roughly 460 members and plays 17,000 rounds a year.    

Duck Woods Country Club is seeking an energetic individual to join our team.  Previous experience with a minimum of 3 years of experience as an assistant is required.  Experience in teaching, professional shop management, outside services, customer service, and forward thinking is extremely preferred.    

The First Assistant Golf Professional is a key component of the structure and vision of the Golf Operation.  The Club and Operation focusses on attention to detail along with creating an environment that is fun and contagious, aiding in providing a memorable golfing experience for our members and guests.   He/She will be responsible for normal assistant duties, plus running the day-to-day operation that includes but are not limited to the following:

• Managing the Outside Service Team that includes Cart Attendants and Starters
• Assist in teaching weekly golfer development programs that have become a focal point of the operation and growth as a club
• Assist in Tournament Operations
• Playing golf with membership as time permits
• Managing the Club Repair Business
• Managing the Handicap Program
• Managing the Bag Room Service
• Managing Inventory Management

The selected candidate will train, learn, ask questions, meet and receive constructive criticism, and provide superb customer service.  The main objective of the First Assistant Golf Professional is to manage the day-to-day operation through the eyes of the Head Golf Professional.

Total compensation is up to $45k per year with a base salary of up to $40,000 per year.  LPGA Dues, Health, Dental, Vacation (1 week per year after full year of employment), 401k (Club matches after 2 years of employment), playing and practicing privileges, and life insurance.
