Title: Assistant Golf Professional

Salary: 50,000 – 60,000, Salary Plus Lesson and Clinic Income

Overview:

The Assistant Golf Professional is responsible for growing and promoting the game of golf while providing a high level of service to our members and customers. This Professional helps to organize all leagues, special events, and functions at the facility. The Assistant Golf Professional oversees the golf shop staff to assure performance while following all daily procedures and policies.

Experience Required:

-Active PGA Member or Associate in good standing

-At least 2 years experience in a golf shop setting

-Extensive knowledge of golf operations and golf instruction

Responsibilities:

-Overseeing and assisting with all golf shop operations

-Plans, promotes, and directs all golf activities

-Manages simulator and practice room programs, rentals, and leagues

-Efficient and friendly customer service throughout the golf shop, checking in golfers, and accurately ringing up charges at the register

-Proper cash handling procedures as well as making sure all standards of operations are being met

-Responsible for inventory controls, receiving merchandise in accordance with procedures, organizing storage and display areas

-Assists Director of Golf with various budgets and monthly inventory controls. Actively suggests ways that targets can be achieved

-Orders supplies associated with golf activities

-Supervises, trains, and evaluates golf shop personnel

-Interprets and enforces FGLC policies, rules, and regulations

-Consults with Director of Golf about operational problems and issues

-Follows procedures for opening and closing of the golf shop

-Facilitates the nightly closing of the banks as well as daily reports in the mornings

-Successfully manages a full lesson book of clients around the other duties involved with the position

-Helps in planning, promoting, and coaching all player development programs

-Works alongside Food and Beverage staff to successfully manage simulator events, leagues, and hourly rentals
