GOLF COACH

1. Knowledge and Experience:         A Coach at IJGA(BG) is an individual with a passion for the game of golf and a deep motivation to help young people develop and achieve their full potential.   A supportive person who believes in an interdependent culture of personal responsibility and empowerment.  They must have a holistic coaching philosophy and strive for proficiency in every aspect of golf athletic development, including the physical, mechanical, mental and strategic elements. An entrepreneurial individual is preferred, with a strong drive for results.  Knowledge in golf technology is an advantage as well as a background in coaching and developing athletes.  The candidate will have strong leadership competencies and be committed to the partnership ethos and culture of the organization.  They should enjoy working independently, with good attention to detail, and must be completely trustworthy in the quality, timeliness and implementation of work.

Core Competencies:                 The mission of IJGA(BG) is to develop golf skills and character in students.  In order to develop players to this level, golf coaches need core competencies and leadership skills in these key areas:

• An individual who is coachable and teachable with a growth and learning mindset
• An individual who values relationships and has the ability to build trust and rapport with his/her peers and students
• A self-directed person who has a drive for results and consistently delivers on commitments to all constituents

1. Position Summary:          Reporting to the Director of Golf Operations and IJGA(BG) Golf Management Group, a golf coach should embody the philosophy, culture and ethos of the academy.  Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Follow the mission, vision and values of IJGA(BG).
• Abide by the policy and procedures of the IJGA(BG) Policies and Procedures Manuel (PPM).
• Hold the other golf coaches accountable for their Roles and Responsibilities
• Hold his or her students accountable for their own individual blueprint for improvement.
• Build rapport and collaboration with the golf team and staff to build a high-performance team.
• Interact with existing and prospective parents as appropriate.
• Create a customer experience that is fulfilling and fun. 
• Listen actively and communicate the academy’s mission persuasively.
• Understand the importance of providing an excellent experience for every student and family and the impact it has on the brand.
• Provide golf content on a weekly basis for digital strategic plan.
• Various Ad Hoc Projects.
