Associate Golf Professional -Elmcrest Country Club, Cedar Rapids, IA

About the Facility: Established in 1947, Elmcrest Country Club is a traditional, private, full-service, family-oriented golf and social club dedicated to providing our members, and our guests’, superior services, programs, staff and facilities.

Position Overview: The Associate Golf Professional will be under the direction of the Director of Golf & Head Golf Professional in the management of day-to-day golf operations of the facility. The position is responsible to supervise and manage total golf operations in the absence of the Director of Golf & Head Golf Professional. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of member service and total satisfaction of all members.

Position Description: The Associate Golf Professional is responsible for the entire golf operation, in the absence of the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional.
This person will:
• Assist with recruitment, hiring, training, motivation and supervision of all golf inside and outside service staff.
• Attend staff meetings as scheduled by management
• Adhere to, enforce and implement policies and procedures of Elmcrest Country Club
• Work closely with and respectively with all club employees of Elmcrest Country Club
• Promote Player Development Programs for golfers of all abilities  
• Manage Golf shop staff, outside services staff and beverage cart. 
• Assist Head Golf Professional with management of play, golfer check in and billings
• Maintain all opening and closing procedures
• Assist Head Golf Professional with management of golf car operation, practice facility, club storage service, and handicapping services.
• Provide leadership and guidance to all staff in creating an attractive and orderly appearance in and around the golf shop, bag room and cart storage areas.
• Assist with club repair and club fitting services. Position regarding Merchandising: Responsible for:
• Entering all new invoices into the club POS system.
• Entering all credits into credit book.
• Pricing inventory as well as inventory reports.
• Managing Ship Sticks Account. 
• Responsible for all member events, and outside group outings.
• Other duties that the DOG or HP
