Originally designed by Gordon Lewis in 2002, then re-designed by Billy Fuller in 2010, Vasari Country Club provides a memorable design which will provides golfers with a first-class golfing experience as well as a fair challenge. Located in Bonita Springs, FL, Vasari Country Club is rich in tradition and culture, plays 40,000 rounds annually, and hosts an active tournament schedule. With an emphasis on service, Vasari strives to achieve the highest standard for other clubs to emulate.

ASSISTANT GOLF PROFESSIONAL OVERVIEW

The Assistant Golf Professional must be a motivated and detail-oriented individual interested in being involved in many of the aspects of the daily golf operation. The Assistant Golf Professional must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have excellent customer service skills, and be passionate about the game of golf and the golf business. The Assistant Professional will report directly to the Head Golf Professional and will assist with the management of daily golf operations including managing and tracking play, assisting with all merchandising functions, managing tournaments, teaching lessons, and providing other professional services to ensure an exceptional golf experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promotion of the game of golf, and of the golf programs at Vasari Country Club
• Provide excellent customer service, professional advice and assistance to all patrons
• Control and manage play; ensure guest check-in and fee collection in coordination with the outside service staff
• Provide golf instruction and clinics that is consistent with instructional methods, policies and procedures
• Assist in purchasing, receipt, display, inventory control, promotion and sales of merchandise
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times
• Proficient in Jonas, Golf Genius, GHIN software, and Microsoft Office
• Be informed on, and promote all club activities and services
• Manage the handicap program
• Assist in managing the robust tournament program at Vasari
• Ability to work in various outside conditions
• Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time
• Ability to lift at least 20 lbs

CANDIDATE QUALIFIACTIONS

• Class “A” LPGA or PGA Professional, or working towards Class “A” status.
• Preferably have had experience working in similar country club operations
• Have verifiable experience of performing at a high level in a strong service-oriented culture
• Be known for being “accountable”, “taking ownership”, and “leading by example” in all that she/he does in the golf operation; essentially someone who ‘walks the talk.’
• Have a clear passion for the game, its history and tradition, where it can be clearly seen to positively benefit and enhance members’ enjoyment and respect for golf at Vasari
