Job Overview

Walnut Creek Country Club is located in South Lyon, MI.  Walnut Creek is one of the only 27 hole private courses in the area.  Our membership is very healthy at 370 full golfing members and South Lyon is growing rapidly.  The members are very active and we do over 30,000 rounds annually.  The club also allows our members to walk, ride, take a caddie, and use a club owned pull carts.  The tournament schedule is packed with Men’s, Women’s, Couples’, and Junior events.  Walnut Creek has three thriving Member Guest tournaments, two Men’s and one Women’s.

The Assistant Golf Professional will assist the Head Professional in the management of the day to day operations.  We are looking for someone that is very efficient, passionate, and detail oriented.  This will be a 9 month position, March through November.

Experience Required

• LPGA Member in good standing
• Computer skills - Jonas, Golf Genius (Tournament Software), Excel, Word
• Private Club experience is preferred
• Teaching and fitting experience

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist with managing member tournament operations including weekly leagues
• Conduct individual and group coaching
• Assist with Junior Golf and PGA Junior League
• Assist in management of outside service staff to ensure the best membership experience
• Provide club fitting and club repair to members
• Play golf with members at the club and at Pro-Ams
• Assist with daily inventory and merchandising
• Running outside Monday outings
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times
