The Golf Event Manager will be responsible for assisting in the sales and organization of all tournaments. This position will work to organize tournaments for the club. Will work to ensure that tournaments and events run smoothly and effectively. Sell and market tournaments in an innovative way generating revenue for the course. Work with clients to assist them in tournament set-up and make recommendations based on their needs. Will be present the day of tournaments to be sure that the tournament is well executed. Includes managing implementing and managing all course created events.

Essential job functions:

• Liaise with clients on all details relating to their event (before/during/after)
• Ensure that events/outings are run professionally
• Create all collateral materials related to the events (scorecards, cart signs, tee-gifts etc.)
• Maximize retail profits through effective sales techniques relating to food & beverage, retail and green fees as directed by the Golf Course Sales Manager
• Perform computer and/or manual scoring duties as required by our guests in a timely and accurate manner
• Conduct regular communication meetings to ensure that all applicable departments are informed about upcoming events.
• Liaise with Golf Shop, Golf Services and Golf Course Maintenance departments to ensure that specific duties related to events are performed to the guest specifications
• Perform site visits as required by the Golf Course Sales Manager

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk and crouch
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the game of golf.
• Previous sales experience and marketing experience desired.

Salary: $40,000.00 to $50,000.00 /year
