Compensation and Benefits

Full time Assistant Golf Professional positions at high-end private golf club, The Crosby at Rancho Santa Fe, located in amazing North County San Diego, California.  Compensation beginning from $12.50 / hr - $16.00 / hr pending qualifications and experience with opportunity for growth, annual compensation review, meals, professional uniform assistance, full playing and practicing privileges, PGA Dues, education expense assistance, company health insurance, junior golf instruction revenue, clinics, and lessons.

Essential Job Functions

Maintain a professional image and appearance benefiting the facility and the PGA of America.
Represent the facility within the circles of professional golf and the local community to enhance and develop the reputation of the Club
Direct involvement with the daily operation of the golf shop
Retail sales efforts and related services, to include club-fitting, tailoring of clothing, display and maintenance of displays and monitoring of demo programs
Member and guest check-in and communications utilizing proactive hospitality
Set example and monitor telephone courtesy
Set example and monitor shop cleanliness and merchandise rotation
Cash handling and daily accounting procedures
Daily tee sheet management to include: reservation scheduling to include events; making games for single players; monitoring starting times to ensure proper flow on the golf course
Assist in the hiring, training of all golf shop and customer service staff
Training of new hires in all aspects of the golf operation and continued supervision and scheduling of same.  Monitor hours/wages to ensure proper labor costs are maintained to budget.
Provide instruction to members of The Club and participate in the preparation and operation of member clinics.
Supervise coordination of Junior Golf Program
Monitor hiring, training and supervision of caddies and caddie program.
Monitor hiring, training and supervision of outside service program
Direct employees responsible for weekly women’s and men’s day activities
Play golf with members of all skill levels to promote enthusiasm
Observe and apply all golf rules and regulations as well as additional club house policies
Responsible for maintaining levels of all supplies to include office supplies, scoreboard materials, brochures and written materials
Provides safety awareness training for the golf operation in accordance with the job safety manual
Represent Club in local PGA sanction events
Adheres to all federal, state and local laws regarding health, safety and employment
