The Opportunity
As we continue to expand our offerings, we’re looking for a talented and ambitious Teaching Professional(s) to join our team. Under John's mentorship, you’ll have countless opportunities to grow your career in the vibrant Orlando market.
Your role will include:
- Managing and growing the PGA Junior League Program and similar community initiatives.
- Overseeing the PGA Family Cup program.
- Conducting and developing programs primarily focusing on Junior Golfers while including Adult Programming as needed.
- Leading vacation golf schools as a featured instructor.
- Offering 1-to-1 personalized coaching, virtual lessons, and corporate clinics.
The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone with an open and creative mindset who is unafraid to take risks and learn from mistakes. You're relentless in your passion for continuous learning and strive to exceed expectations. Here are the qualities we're seeking:
- PGA of America Class “A” Member or an Associate having completed Level III is preferred or an LPGA Class “A” Member. We will consider others based upon your experience and commitment to instruction.
- Six months to two years of teaching experience, with a good grasp of technology like FlightScope and V1Golf.
- Proficiency in a second language will be a bonus.
- Creativity in marketing yourself and your programs.
Key Responsibilities
This is an exceptional chance for a driven golf instructor to grow personally and professionally. Your income will come from diverse sources, such as:
- Managing and conducting junior and adult developmental programs.
- Leading private coaching sessions and vacation golf schools.
- Conducting private coaching sessions.
- Conducting 1-to-1, 2-to-1, and 4-to-1 vacation golf school programs.
- Conducting remote and virtual golf lessons.
- Corporate clinics and events.
- Other programs and coaching opportunities as become available.
What to Expect
We’re genuinely excited about this role's potential for a motivated and ambitious candidate. In your first year, you can look forward to an earning potential of $50-$75k or even more. This estimate is based on current coaching requests that have gone unmet and the abundance of additional programming opportunities. As we continue to expand our programs and facilities, and as you help us grow our customer base, you can expect your income potential to increase substantially.
Contract Terms
As the Teaching Professional(s), you'll have an Independent Contractor relationship with John Hughes Golf. We understand that the terms of your contract are important, and we're willing to negotiate incentives that could include a percentage of gross coaching revenues, coverage of PGA Dues, reimbursement for educational expenses, and more to ensure your needs and interests are met. You must maintain business liability insurance, naming John Hughes Golf and the facilities where you practice as additional insured.
At John Hughes Golf, we’re committed to supporting you every step of the way. We’ll cover all marketing expenses and ensure you have the necessary administrative infrastructure and physical equipment to operate smoothly across multiple facilities. We’ll also provide uniforms and other branded items to help you proudly represent our brand. To further support your coaching practice, we’ll furnish you with state-of-the-art technology and actively market your services locally and nationally.
